Medianauta Limited is an interaction design company based in London and Norfolk, we are a consultancy that has worked in the City of London since 1997.
We design graphical user interfaces for internet products, produce websites, intranets, screensavers and presentations for corporate communications.
Our client list includes a number of large financial institutions, many of whom we have worked with for a number of years.
Application & Task Design
Medianauta likes to work closely with clients and development teams to produce design that are 'fit for purpose' and works well with the technology.
Products or website need to be accessible to all users, good task design and a constitent 'Look and Feel' create a product that is easy to use and users will use regularly. Task design must build on familiar product functions that the user has already utilised in the suite of products.
Major projects have used skills such as 'proof of concept' prototypes, task design, icon design, Application branding, and colour schemes for tabular data.
Icon Design & Product Branding
Medianauta has designed icons for desktop applications, web applications and web sites.
Icons can be used in user interfaces to represent complex objects or functions. The financial institutions in particular use icons to symbolise abstract concepts, Medianauta has designed icon elements that are consistent and build a family of icons that can be used across product suites.
Product branding is created by combining the icons used with log On screens, Splash screens and about boxes, and the colours used across the application.
Internet / Intranet / Extranet
Before starting to build and create a website or product Medianauta takes time to understand a client's needs as this is the most critical time for a web project. This approach allows the site to grow with the client.
Data Driven sites / Content Management
Today's web applications and sites need to be updated almost every minute of every day. Using content management systems behind the main web site allows non-HTML literate content managers to keep sites and it's information current and usable.
Medianauta has worked on several web projects that deliver instrument price data. Tabular data needs to be organised and easily read so that brokers / traders can execute deals with ease and with the most up-to-date information.
Medianauta can provide a review of any website, desktop or web application. Usability reviews look at layout, colour, behaviour, task design and interface components.
